Salary Ranges
$16.75 to $21.73
Salary is restricted to the above range and will not exceed the maximum of the range. Salary offers are non negotiable and offers are determined and are based upon related work experience submitted on resume.

Provides support to student success groups within the division of Student Support and Success. Serves as a primary receptionist, answers phone calls, schedules appointments, and performs general office assistance and secretarial duties for the daily functions of Academic Advising Services. Reports to the Dean of Academic Support and Student Success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in providing reception for students and visitors entering the Academic Advising Services office: providing general information to professional staff, resources, and procedures as appropriate.
- Update advisor assignments.
- Answer incoming phone calls, assist callers, and forward calls as deemed necessary.
- Review and respond to adviseme email messages and voicemail messages daily.
- Set appointments for academic success and debt relief workshops, as well as keeping student appointment information and grade point average.
- Reporting of students with holds for developmental coursework and for students on academic alert, probation, suspension, or dismissal.
- Perform data entry as assigned
- Picks up, receives and disseminate mail, and prepares mailings for professional staff.
- Maintain accurate records and files.
- Coordinate and work with student workers as assigned.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
Education
- High diploma or equivalent.
- Foreign degrees – must provide a US equivalency report of your degree credentials with your transcript, if not, your resume will not be accepted.
Certifications
- Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
Work Experience
- Must be proficient in the use of MS Office to include: Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher.
- Must have proficient typing and computer abilities, as well as strong communication, public relations, and customer service skills (answering telephone, greeting people, and resolving issues).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Must be able to organize and manage multiple tasks under the supervision of multiple supervisors.
- Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge.
Preferred
- Associate degree in Administrative Office Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year office experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish)
